Exporting Pups

Our preference is to sell pups throughout Australia as we are unable to provide our normal 12 month working guarantee for a pup that is exported overseas, due to the considerable expense and procedure involved in the pup being returned to Australia.

We do, however receive numerous enquiries from people overseas and we are therefore happy to export our pups overseas based upon the following strict conditions:-

  1. The pup be exported no earlier than eleven (11) weeks of age, with our preference being that the pup is retained until he/she is sixteen (16) weeks of age in the hope that we can see some type of working ability in the pup.
  2. Our usual guarantee that the pup purchased will develop a desire to work by the age of twelve (12) months is waived due to the reasons set out above.
  3. That the new owner pays all expenses relating to the preparation and exportation of the pup, including any necessary vaccinations, blood tests, etc that may be required by the country that the pup is being exported to.
  4. Our standard price of a pup be increased by $400 + GST to cover any out of pocket expenses that we may incur, ie. overseas phone calls, additional feeding & worming costs, delivery of pup to Dubbo Airport, twelve (12) week vaccination (in the event that we are still in possession of the pup), travel costs associated with any export vaccinations that the pup may require, ie. rabies vaccination (however such vaccination costs are an additional cost to be born by the new owner), and all of our time in arranging for the export of the pup.
  5. That the new owner agrees to us employing a Pet Transport Company of our choice to arrange for the exportation of the pup. The Company will fully arrange for the export of the pup and their fee will include things such as:
    1. Completion of all necessary paperwork to enable export.
    2. Flights from Dubbo to Sydney and Sydney to new country.
    3. AQIS Accredited Veterinarian's time to attend to mandatory final health check and provide necessary documentation.
    4. Attending AQIS office and arranging for issue of Export Permit and Health Certificate.
    5. Microchipping of the pup.
    6. IATA travel kennel.
  6. That all costs associated with the export of the pup be fully paid by the new owner to us, upon issue of a Tax Invoice from our Kelpie Stud, before any work is commenced in arranging for export of the pup.
